This book absolutely melted my heart.

I wasn’t sure what to expect from Please Return to the Lands of Luxury by Jon Tilton, but based on the amazing cover art alone, I knew it would be worth my while.

This middle grade dystopian adventure book is filled with colorful descriptions, an imaginative world, and authentic characters that will resonate with children and adults alike. One of my favorite aspects of the book was that there are multiple points of view–Jane, the boys Rodney and Timothy, and Marc–which brilliantly expanded the story, making it great for boys, girls, kids, and adults alike.

With heartfelt themes of friendship, perseverance, sacrifice, and grief, this story creates a wonderful landscape for thoughtful conversations. It is fast paced but with plenty of warmth, making the story easy to follow and a fun adventure from beginning to end.

The audiobook had excellence narration that brought each character to life in unique ways, and it was a joy to listen to from beginning to end.
