Valerie was born in Montreal, Canada, but lived for fourteen years in Plano, Texas before moving with her family to the Raleigh area in North Carolina. Her first published novel is a middle grade historical fiction, “Bridget’s Journey” (2013), and her second is a YA fantasy, “Everlasting” (2015). She is currently working on a sequel to “Bridget’s Journey”, a prequel to “Everlasting” and a historical fiction novella with a twist on the fairy tale Snow White! She loves having deep conversations about theology, books and movies with friends and family. Her favorite memory verse is and has been for many years John 16:33:

“I have told you these things so that in Me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble, but take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Mary P. is an extroverted university student whose childhood adventures in milking goats, growing whatever fit in a handy container, picking nettles, getting lost in forests and books, and exploring with her siblings gave her a love of story and adventure, which led to a combination of the two. She strives to write what honors God and loves books that build up instead of tearing down. And if there’s adventure, witty banter, found family, and a setting that feels lived-in, she’s one happy camper.
