Hi! My name is Madison! I’m 21 years old, I haven’t always loved to read, which is weird considering that I’m a writer! For a long time it was off and on, but now I enjoy it a lot more than I used to. Aside from reading and writing I love to draw, listen to music, hang out with friends, go to church, and other things like that. I am a big people-person, so I love to be with friends and family, but I’ve also become a lover of alone time too. I never thought I’d be in a book reviewing club, but here I am, with the most amazing girls! I’m so glad to be here 😊

Mary P. is an extroverted university student whose childhood adventures in milking goats, growing whatever fit in a handy container, picking nettles, getting lost in forests and books, and exploring with her siblings gave her a love of story and adventure, which led to a combination of the two. She strives to write what honors God and loves books that build up instead of tearing down. And if there’s adventure, witty banter, found family, and a setting that feels lived-in, she’s one happy camper.

Erin Phillips is a Christian author who writes fantasy and suspense novels. While not all of her works have explicitly Christian messages, all of her stories are inspired by her faith and seek to explore Biblical truth. She wrote her debut novel, The Keeper, during the 2013 NaNoWriMo event, and published a stand-alone sequel, The Varken, in 2017. Both are young adult fantasy novels.

In 2017, Erin wrote Polarity, her first suspense speculative fiction novel, after taking Ted Dekker’s The Creative Way writing course. She is currently working on A Crown of Chains (2022), a fantasy retelling of the Biblical story of Esther, with plans for a Ruth retelling to follow. Besides writing novels, she also writes and publishes Christian musicals with her husband at The Faithful Troubadour Publications, and is the co-founder and CEO of a small, Christian community theatre, Solace Theatre.

Erin Phillips graduated from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts and lives in Raleigh with her husband, Jeremy, and their happy corgi, Parker.

Ashlynn loves books and reading, yet she feels that she is not a “usual” book loving girl. She doesn’t always use big words, know a lot about all the genres and famous authors currently or in the past. However she loves a good story, with deep characters that live in the pages. She feels things deeply and reads (unintended pun there, but I’ll run with it) into scenarios and will reread a whole chapter to make sure she understands, connects, and fully appreciates everything surrounding the story line, however many there are.

Outside of reading she co-owns a boutique with her sister, works for her mom as an Office Manager, is married to the love of her life, and serves with him in her church’s youth group that she grew up in. Living in an rv with her husband and their new puppy, Toby, she really has learned that she enjoys a simple life. She gets to spend ninety percent of the time with her husband as he works for himself at home and she wouldn’t have it any other way. They enjoy going to their favorite coffee shop so he can work and she can read or do something online for her business. He even will make dinner for her and say “you know what, this would be a perfect time for you to read!” – True story, to which she looked up at him in awe and realized just how blessed she was, for the hundredth time in seven months.
