Lexi’s Review:

In Guardian of the Groceries, the main character, Henry, learns how to find adventure even in mundane tasks like grocery shopping.
I enjoyed reading this book because it teaches children that “it really is okay to be bored sometimes” (35), and the mom gently teaches Henry that “anything can be an adventure if you just use your imagination” (7).
The illustrations are chaotic but cute, and the writing is easy to read, without any distracting syntax issues.
I give this book five stars. This book would be a great addition to any child’s library, and a great teaching resource for encouraging children to find adventure in every-day places.
