If You Were Me and Lived in…Brazil by Carole P. Roman

I received this book from the author for the purpose of this review. All comments and opinions are entirely my own.

The Synopsis:

Join Carole P. Roman when she visits the stunning and diverse land of Brazil in the newest book of her informative series. Learn about the varied customs and cultures. Travel to South America to discover what you would eat and do for fun. See the land through the eyes of a youngster like you and understand what life is like in this exciting place. Don’t forget to look at the other books in the series so that you can be an armchair world traveler.

Review:

In Carole’s latest release, If You Were Me and Lived in…Brazil, kids and adults alike will be transported to the “coffee country”, learning about popular names, places, and games all on the child’s level!

The illustrations are realistic and interactive, and the writing has easy transitions and a good amount of vocabulary words. The end glossary is helpful to define words that were not immediately defined in the story and it is very thorough.

Overall, I really enjoyed the newest addition to Carole’s A Child’s Introduction to Cultures Around the World series and give it a full 5 out of 5 stars! I recommend it to teachers and homeschool moms who are wanting to study Brazil in the upcoming school year.
