The Synopsis:

Review:

Earth Quarantined is a science fiction book that kicks off a soon-to-come series. It takes the mixture of an alien race, the human race, and naturally, a plague that doomed the earth, and creates an almost Dystopian-type of world setting–with kick-butt characters, conspiracies, and rebel groups.

Honestly, I wanted to like this book a lot. The plot was interesting, the characters were okay, and the story-world was unique. But in the end, I just struggled to keep my eyes open. I tried so hard to push through and finish the book to the end, but I eventually just lost interest entirely and bailed on the book about three quarters into it.

There was some cursing in the book, but that didn’t affect my overall opinion on it. I think what inevitably caused me to bail was the lack of connection I felt to the characters. Some of the characters dealt with the losses of loved ones, and I felt nothing. There wasn’t a whole lot of relatability between being the reader and who the characters were or who they aspired to be. Plus there were so many different point of views, I felt distracted from what the main plot was.

Overall, I feel like this author has potential, however, I just don’t think that it was a good match for me. I give it 2 out of 5 stars.
